Local Processing to Insure Fresh & Low Stress

As part of our mission to provide stress free fresh, quality cuts, our processing plants are with in 30 miles of our finishing lots. At My Mark 61 Cattle Co, we source stock from local suppliers with a reputation for grass-fed sustainable farming, and it makes a difference: our product is known for its flavour, texture and all-round quality appeal. Why is Beef Quality Assurance Important (BQA)

Part of the job description of anyone managing a grass-finishing program to constantly look out for things that could cause cattle stress. Identify the potential stress source, tweak the system, and eliminate the problem before it causes stress. Beef tenderness and flavor depend on it. Skillful grass-finishing involves understanding cattle behavior, nutrition, cow psychology, social hierarchies, herd behavior, and the way cattle visually perceive the world. We have designed a cattle finishing program that accounts for all these factors so they can work smoothly together.
